It’s my birthday!!! I don’t have any plans but I decided to dress up anyway because I was tired of sitting around in my pajamas like I usually do on my days off.
Today I’m wearing the Soda Fountain Dress in Grape from ModCloth and Melinda red slingback sandals by Chelsea Crew, which I would link to if I could find them for sale anywhere online. I bought them for sale on ideeli, which is an invite only sale site that has amazing sales on name brands that change every day. If you’re not a member already (it’s free) you should definitely check it out! Here’s a better view of the dress.
I have two packages (jeans and some shoes) that I ordered waiting for me in the apartment building office, but they are closed, of course. However I ran into the mail carrier in the parking lot and my order from ModCloth arrived a day early! Hooray! These will definitely be appearing in some outfit photos later on, but here’s what I got this time.
In case you couldn’t tell, I frickin love ModCloth! I’m already planning my next order. If you haven’t shopped there before, now is a great time to because they’re offering you $10 off your first order! Use this link and I’ll also get a $10 credit for referring you, to use toward my next purchase! (Happy Birthday to me!)
I also got a Skype call from my boyfriend, which I was nerdily excited about because that’s what I wanted for my birthday. And my best friend will be getting on for chat later on. With family all in California, my best friends in Illinois and Oklahoma and my boyfriend in South Korea, it doesn’t make for the most exciting of birthday plans, but I take what I can get.
Now I’m just looking forward to finding a movie to watch and ordering some pizza! Yesterday I thought I might want to cook myself something nice today, but no. I don’t. I want someone else to cook me something nice, and if I have to pay them to do it, so be it!
P.S. I’m hanging out on Twitter today, come say hi!
P.P.S. If you want to see what I did last year (sort of similar to this year, actually. I can’t remember the last time I made a big deal of my birthday) you can read my post from last year.
